Gaia is the first Value-Based family building company. We give people control over their fertility with clinically proven pathways to parenthood — whether they want a child now or later — and take on the financial risk so that if we don’t deliver successful outcomes, they don’t pay. How we got here

2020

Gaia is backed by one of the best European seed stage investors, Kindred Capital.

2021

We signed our first contract with our first insurer, and our team grew to 8.

2022

We raised a $20 million Series A round led by Atomico, sold our first plan, and our first baby was born! Our team grew from 10 to 30, so we needed more office space.

2023

We’ve had more babies born and got FCA regulated! We launched a new and improved Gaia Plan that makes IVF accessible to 20% more people.

2024

We started our US expansion and raised a further $16m from investors including Valar Ventures to launch our product in the US.

2025

Built traction in the US market with customers in over 20 states, sell our first US employer fertility benefits program, launch our US consumer lending product. Scaled our team to 50+ employees across the UK, US, LatAm, and Asia.

2026

1,000 memberships sold in the US. By the end of 2026, there will have been over 700 babies born to Gaia members. Will you join us as we become the starting point for anyone building a family in the US.

Mission

Our vision is to ensure that everyone who wants a family, has the chance to try.

While infertility affects 1 in 6 people, only 2% of babies are born via IVF. We’re working to move that number to 10%. Our longer term vision involves fully integrating the provision, financing, and insurance of IVF to revolutionise its access.

Complexity

We operate in a complex, under-built, and significantly broken space across finance and healthcare. You will be pushing against the odds and dramatically changing the existing system.

We have a unique financial product built on data. Not only is it beneficial to our members, who crave more certainty in the process, but it’s essential to managing financial risk closely. Our proprietary technology allows us to offer access to IVF to a larger group of people.
